HOW TO MEASURE
INSIDE MOUNT
Inside Mount:
- Installed inside the window frame.
- Provides a clean and streamlined look.
- Requires precise measurements for a proper fit.
- Allows the blinds to fit snugly within the frame.
Measuring Custom Blinds for Inside Mount:
- Gather the necessary tools: a steel measuring tape, a pencil, and paper.
- Measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom of the window frame. Record the smallest width measurement.
- Measure the height at the left, middle, and right of the window frame. Record the longest height measurement.
- Deduct between 1/8" to 1/4" inch from the width for clearance. This ensures a proper fit without scraping.
- Deduct 1/4 inch from the height to allow the blinds to move smoothly.
- Double-check all measurements to ensure accuracy before ordering the custom blinds.
OUTSIDE MOUNT
Outside Mount:
- Installed outside the window frame.
- Covers a larger area, including the window frame.
- Provides better light blockage and privacy.
- Doesn't require precise measurements but allows for customization in size.
- Gather the tools: a steel measuring tape, a pencil, and paper.
- Measure the width where you want the blinds to cover the window frame. Add extra width based on your preference for coverage.
- Measure the height from the top of the window frame to where you want the blinds to hang. Include extra height for better coverage.
- Add extra inches to both the width and height for better light blockage and privacy.
- Confirm all measurements and ensure they are accurate before ordering the blinds.
